„And how it will live after I created it.“ ist eine Studie, welche die Bewegung (ausgehend von der Physis) aus einem Kontext der Bewegungsfindung und -schöpfung nach ihrer Wertigkeit, Notwendigkeit, Absurdität, Spiritualität, Essenz und Natürlichkeit hinterfragt. Das Spiel mit Identität gehört zu Nils' Konzept. Die Performance schafft einen Raum, in dem er spielerisch mit seinen (Körper-) Mitteln eine offene Kommunikationsbasis schafft. Diese beinhaltet in erster Linie keine konkrete Thematik, richtet jedoch den Fokus auf eine sublime und humorvolle Art auf umstrittene Kontexte, welches Provokation bedeuten kann. Interaktion mit dem Publikum, Live-Musik und Stille, Wort und Körpersprache spricht den Rezipienten auf diversen Ebenen an. Der Rahmen der Performance ist flexibel durch seine variierbaren Elemente, wodurch jedesmal Spielraum bleibt sich neu zu erfinden und den Themenschwerpuntk unterschiedlich zu setzen. Hierbei entsteht ein fragmentierter Einblick in Ton, Wort und Bewegung über seine subjektive Entwicklung, Schöpfung und Entscheidung.

In einer Gesellschaft, in der ein Produktivitäts- und Leistungsdenken im Vordergrund steht, wird das Zaudern oftmals als eine Form von Schwäche eingeordnet: Wer zaudert, hält inne, unterbricht sein Handeln. HIGH DIVING untersucht das Zaudern als eine aktive Geste der Befragung, die kritische Distanz und Reflexion erlaubt: Zaudern als eine produktive Kraft, um die Beziehung zur Welt zu problematisieren. Zu zaudern bedeutet nicht nur einen Wirklichkeitssinn, sondern einen Möglichkeitssinn zu besitzen: Es könnte eben Alles auch ganz anders sein.
Es wird somit nicht dem Machen und der Produktivität, sondern den Momenten des Davors und des Dazwischens Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt. Die Suche nach einer Zeitlichkeit und Spannung, die auf eine Variation von Möglichkeiten hinweist.
In a society where productivity and performance thinking are in the foreground, hesitation is often categorized as a form of weakness: those who hesitate, pause, interrupt their actions. HIGH DIVING examines hesitation as an active gesture of inquiry that allows critical distance and reflection: procrastination as a productive force to problematize the relationship to the world. To procrastinate not only means a sense of reality, but possesses a sense of possibility: everything could be completely different.
Thus it's not paying attention to the making and the productivity, but to moments of davors and the intervention. The search for a temporality and tension that indicates a variation of possibilities.

Eine Geschichte von zwei Körpern, die zwischen Erinnerungen und unerforschten Fantasien springen. Sie gehen durch eine fast mechanische Wiederholung von Ritualen, um zu versuchen, zu fühlen, etwas Verlorenes zurückzuerhalten, ihre Angst vor Einsamkeit bringt sie zusammen, ihre Angst vor dem Engagement treibt sie auseinander. Ein Spiegelbild einer Generation, die zwischen alten Ideen der Romantik und postmoderner, nihilistischer Kultur lebt, geboren in eine Welt von Paaren, Familien, eine Welt, die Einsamkeit fürchtet, wo man nur dann Eins sein kann, wenn man einen Anderen findet.

A story of two bodies jumping between memories and unexplored fantasies. They go through an almost mechanical repetition of rituals to try, to feel, to recover something lost, their fear of loneliness brings them together, their fear of engagement drives them apart. A reflection of a generation that lives between old ideas of romanticism and postmodern, nihilistic culture, born into a world of couples, families, a world that fears loneliness, where one can only be one if one finds another.

Sind wir gefährlich oder sind wir in Gefahr?
Eine Performance, in der drei Tänzer und ein Beatboxer Reaktionen auf den Kampf gegen die Widrigkeiten einer lähmenden Welt körperlich erfahrbar machen. Ein Mann und eine Frau haben sich in individuellen Bewegungsmustern eingerichtet. Sie bewegen sich ohne Kontakt, doch in Harmonie durch den Raum. Da dringt das „Draußen“ ein, eine dritte Performerin springt durchs Fenster und beginnt ein staccatoartiges Training. Ihre Bewegungsimpulse sind Forderung. In einer Mischung aus Spieltrieb und Überlebenskampf prallen Gegensätze aufeinander, lösen sich auf, beginnen von Neuem.
Der Beatboxer unterstützt durch seine Live-Sounds die Spannung, die entsteht, wenn die Drei aufeinandertreffen und lässt gleichzeitig eine Außenwelt erahnen, den Raum, die Gesellschaft, die die Drei umgibt.

Are we dangerous or are we in danger?
A performance in which three dancers and a beatboxer show their reactions to the fight against the adversities of a paralyzing world. A man and a woman have settled in individual patterns of movement. They move without contact, but in harmony through space. This is where the 'outside' enters, a third performer jumps through the window and starts a staccato-like workout. Their movement impulses are demand. In a mixture of playfulness and struggle for survival, opposites collide, dissolve, and begin again. Through its live sounds, the beatboxer supports the tension that arises when the three meet and at the same time gives an idea of an outside world that surrounds the space, the society, them three.

Konzert // Frankreich
Sänger, Songwritter, Tänzer und Performer, Léon kreiert Electronic / Pop-Musik mit Einflüssen aus den 80ern - New Wave, Jazz und Techno Ästhetik. Nach seinem BA-Abschluss in Dance Performance an der Folkwang Universität der Kunste im Jahr 2018 stellt Léon sich mit seinem neuen Album "Projections", das 2019 erscheinen wird, vor. "Project Yourself" ist ein interdisziplinäres Konzert. Es enthält Elemente aus Gesang, Elektromusik, Tanz und Theater, die dazu einladen, sich auf das zu verlassen, wofür man steht. Sei du selbst und warte nicht auf die Zustimmung eines anderen.
Singer, Songwritter, Dancer and Performer, Léon creates Electronic/Pop music with influences from 80's-New Wave, Jazz and Techno aesthetics. After graduating with his BA in Dance Performance at the 'Folkwang Universität der Künste' in 2018, Léon is eager to introduce you to his new album "Projections" which will be released in 2019. 'Project Yourself' is an interdisciplinary concert incorporating singing, electro music, dance and theatrical elements that will invite you to trust in what you stand for - BE YOURSELF and do not wait for anyones approval.
